To increase the burning surface and flame height, it is enough to pull out the wick a few millimeters, and to reduce the flame, you can trim it. Caring for the wick is standard - just pull it out and trim the burnt part if necessary. To replace the wick (after a few tightenings) and the cotton, you need to unscrew the screw in the center of the base that holds the flint, as well as the threaded sleeve underneath (tool included).
